Owner: AK Livestock
Grantsville, Utah

My name is Kelsey Anderson, co-owner of AK Livestock. I was born and raised in Utah. I am a veterinarian technician for a mixed practice (large and small animal) in Tooele, UT. Animals have always been my passion. Growing up I had the opportunity to have horses, cattle, sheep, and goats. My true love for goats started when I was 12. Me and my aunt purchased a couple Spanish Boer does out of Texas and that’s where it all began. I started out as a commercial breeder and sold mainly for market all through high school. Life changed a little bit and I married my high school sweet heart. We moved to California for a few years while my husband served in the United States Marine Corps. We both wanted to return back to Utah which we did. We purchased a 10 acre piece of land and that’s where our dreams started. 5 years later we now own and manage a small herd of 20 registered boer does, 20 angus cows, and a handful of horses. We strive for quality. I joined SRMGA 3 years ago with one of my best friends and we have not been able to look back! I have learned so much over the past few years and continue to keep growing. My goal is to strengthen the Boer goat industry and help others to learn about these beautiful animals. I am so excited to join the SRMGA board and am looking forward to what’s in store.
